    New Grill

I'll probably be picking up a new grill this weekend. My old one is on it's last leg.

I just bought a super nice Brinkman last year on Sale at Menards......it was a $300+ grill I got for $140. Stainless top & H-type dual burner.

Cant justify them $1k units yet

You won't regret it Bob. Mine is 3 or 4 years old now and I just bought the upgraded digital thermostat control and a couple weekends ago, I sanded it all down to the metal, shot it with some good quality high temp black paint out of my paint gun and put new handles and thermomemeter on it. Now it's just like new again. I figure for the cost, they are worth taking care of.

If you need any suggestions for recipes for prime rib, turkeys, beef or pork tenderloins, babybacks, boston butts or the like just holler. I would be glad to share.

The Deluxe is the one I would get now, too. I bought the BBQ075 which 3 or 4 years ago was around $800. At least that's what I paid for it. The digital thermostate was another $200.

Wow, you guys are serious about your grilling and smoking.

My brother in law just got a Big Green Egg and swears by it but I just can't justify that kind of scratch for a grill.

    Bob,
I have a buddy that's a dealer and he discounts them a little bit usually. I could call him and see what he would have to have if you're interested.

I heard that there is a place in Salina that is pretty good to deal with. Not to far from the vineyard I think? Probably the guy Jason is talking about.

Yeah, that's the one. He used to be my neighbor when I lived up that way. He's a retired railroad engineer and sells Traegers and also does catering. He has the best prices I have found. There's 3 or 4 dealers alone just in the Salina area and one in McPherson.

The people I know said they bought the one that was 999 and they gave them all kinds of stuff for no added cost. They seemed real pleased with him and all the free stuff.

I talked to Skip by happenstance. He'll take $969 for the deluxe and $845 for the BBQ075, plus tax of course. Oh, and I have a 14 lb brisket on right now. Smoking it all night and all day tomorrow. Report on how it turns out tomorrow.
