K-State will open the 2007 football season at Auburn...yes, the same Auburn that went 11-2 this year and beat Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl. Surely some of the talk about a weak non-conference schedule will die down now...Louiville the past 2 years (and again in 2008) and now Auburn. Going to be an interesting year...is it too early to start the trash talking???
Never too early. I think if K-state is to be regarded as a national power, they need to play a little stiffer non-conf schedule. Look what happenned to Notre Dame. They are always way overrated and haven't won a bowl game in a bazillion years. Their soft schedule and name have carried them.
Auburn is a formidable opponent. Not one to be taken lightly. I would expect IF K-State were to have a strong showing that they would reap some amount of respect at the national level. Time will tell.
Sweet. So we should probably get tickets and take a road trip right?
I'm game, I think it would be awesome to go a game at a place like that. Not to mention the Southerm women.
WOW. We are just getting into it deeper and deeper. Looking forward to next year. That first game sets the tone. In a way I kind of feel like one of the Florida tech,a&m, juco schools that we usually play that time of year, now that we are starting with Auburn
