    dammit!!!!!

My dad just looked at the Mule Deer tag that we drew, guess what it was for?? A friggin antlerless mule deer tag....we put in this year for 3 antelope, 3 antlered mule deer tags...had a landowner put in for them so that we could get all that we wanted...well, needless to say, the state of Colorado %$#^ed me royally..who in their right mind would drive 8 friggin hours to shoot a doe...i dont even shoot does here in kansas ruined my whole damn day

lets see, pay the out of state tag fee for 350.00 to shoot a friggin doe? I dont think so...plus in order to trout fish, i would have to drive about 3 hours...this place is in east central colorado I can shoot 1 buck and 4 does, have the buck mounted and be done with it on my own land in kansas without driving 8 hours

Not trying to sound gay here but I think you are hunting for the wrong reasons. I agree killing something is a great high but getting out of the office and seeing some beautiful country is awesome. Getting a wall hanger makes it even better but it really could be worse. I have never been able to hunt outside of Kansas but then again I haven't had the need or financial ability for that matter.

Again it could be the meds talking.

Some of these people do more than I could ever dare to think about.......just the CHANCE to get into a feild where deer come thru is thrill enough for them.........I was told a very inspiring story once about a man in Missouri who was paralized from the waste down. He was an avid deer hunter from childhood and loved it more then anything else and that all came to a stop the night he was hit by DWI......after 3 long years of rehab and getting so depressed he snapped and found more viggor for life than ever Before.....he also helped design (since he was a mechanical engineer) one of the 1st deer stands that was able to be used for diabled......this thing sits low enough he can get into it and it can climb the tree through motors and wenches.......he has been hunting every year since then

    Re: dammit!!!!! (tritonryan)

um...not like i am going to get the permit...i will pay 1750.00 or something like that and get it all back but 20.00 search and rescue fee or something...you have to get 10 preference points before they even put you in the draw...then once in the draw, you are guaranteed a permit within 2 years...so when i am 35-37, i will be financially stable to shoot a big horn

    Re: dammit!!!!! (Bassman25)

SO if I underastand this correctly......you have to have 10 points to apply....once you aaply you can get it in 2 years.....now to get the 10 points you need to hunt and to do this you buy permits.....each permit cost's $350.00 for a deer and 10 permits cost you $3500.00 not including your actual state hunting permit or habitat stamp required to this....not in 10 years or so of this the price of the permits is bound to go up fo Non-Resident and effectivly costing more than $3.5k then you will have the Sheep permit......$1750 now.............so overall you will spend over $5000 in permits to get points to shoot 1 ONE Sheep.......not including any guide services.

    Did I miss something here?

And you are having finacial problems???

    Re: dammit!!!!! (tritonryan)

your all wrong...that only applies to Big horn sheep...It takes 10 preference points to get a sheep tag, so in other words, each permit that you purchase, you get 1 preference point...each tag costs you 1750.00 but since you wont draw a tag, they send you back every bit of it except for like 20-30.00. then what you do is every april, you keep using that same money to put in and do it for 10 years straight...after you get your 10 preference points, you get put into the actual sheep draw...then it costs you big bucks for an outfittter
