Sometimes I really hate this state

Saturday morning, went and got the boat from the shop and run the new prop. The swells were about 3-4 feet or more on EL Dorado. Little 0ne wanted to tube a little so I thought good chance to see how the hole shot was. Jeez, I was taking water over the bow at idle. Needless to say we didn't stay long. Heard one guy say he was using his big motor just to stay on the points Hole shot was awesome though and it seems to run better...

It was an awesome morning here Saturday-nice and cool with a perfect breeze. You couldn't have asked for a better summer fishing day than Saturday around here.

Actually wish we could've had a little breeze yesterday, lot easier to get on fish with a little chop on the water...

Agreed that Saturday was a good day to be out, felt very pleasant all day. Sunday we could have used the breeze we had Saturday. I went to the range on Sunday Krissy and I shot 100 rounds of 9MM, 100 rounds of 45 ACP and 50 rounds of 32 Auto through a little Walther PPKS I recently acquired. Good weekend though and beat the heck out of the 100+ degree temps from the previous week.

My wife is from Topeka. She says you guys up north never get the wind we have here. When I was in Manhattan at the KU vet hospital a while back I noticed the same thing. Difference in the terrain I guess.. Bob, you going to war or just getting ready ?

Oh we get plenty of wind, Manhattan is pretty sheltered so you don't notice it in town, but it is pretty open country around Milford and it will get rolling with the best of them...

You know it didn't seem that windy, maybe 10 or so, but it was out of the North and man, in a 19 foot boat it looked like a Paul Elias commerical. There was a mallard marshall going out on his jet ski when I was coming in. I asked him if his radio was waterproof on his belt, gave me a dirty look 10 minutes later he shows back up and was wet. Didn't say a word to me. Wife said I was a smart ass, I just laughed shook my head and wiped the boat off.
