    Speedo reading low

The Teleflex speedo on my 99 Johnson 200 is registering very low. I pulled the tube from the back of the gauge and used compressed air to clear the line. Didn't solve the problem.

Anything else I can do to troubleshoot, or is it time to pop a new speedo in there?

Is the tube connected to the gear case?

If so, you might want to clean the pick up with a small drill bit by hand.

Rusty, it's connected to a pitot tube on the hull.

Should I try connecting it to the gearcase to see if that makes a difference?

    Thank you.

See if there are any debris in the pitot on the hull.
