Well Tim and I had a decent day. Caught a ton of short fish. Only 2 keepers. One for each of us. Just tried for smallies, didn't even go for any LM. Was nice to get out until the wind picked up![]()

That is a good one. Hopefully it was realeased... Tim and I came across a young kid, probably 10-12 years old. He had a smallie on his stringer. I told him that I did not think it was legal. He said that he thought it was. I asked him if he cared if I measured it for him, and he said that it was okay. The fish was a hair over 13". He released it with out any problems. He seemed like a well mannered kid, very respectable, but just goes to show how many short fish are really kept.![]()
yep
had i guy one time when i was bank fishing ask if he coulf keep my fish i caught
i told him no
being i was catching some nice 10 to 16 SM but my thought is he can catch his own fish
At least the kid was polite and let the fish go after we measured it. I really don't think he knew what it was, but he does now.![]()
He also said he thought he saw some walleye swimming in front him, so he also got to learn the difference between a walleye and a carp. Like RJ said, he was a good kid, just didn't have a clue about different kinds of fish...

Kansas walleye Assc. will have about 80 to 100 boats out there Sat. prefish & Sun. the T.
This is about the time of year that Geary County used to have the Milford Open. I do'nt know if they still do or not.
The lake could be pretty crowded this weekend. D. Price
