Well, how was the weigh in...

Couldn't make the weigh in. My bricklayer wouldn't let me off work. Curious how everyone did and how the fishing was. Please report. Hurry!

I didn't make it over either, but talked to Ryan on the phone shortly after they checked in. He had no keepers and sounded like he had an interesting day. Was paired with a guy in an aluminum Bass Tracker with a 60 horse motor. The guy did no pre-fishing, had never been on Milford, and had only had the boat for a month or two. Ryan was pretty excited... From the sounds of things it was pretty tough for about everyone. Ryan was in the first flight and hand't heard reports from any of the others, but he said most guys had the same story. I'm sure he'll fill us in tomorrow after he recovers. RJ might know more, maybe he'll give us a few more details. Interested to see what it took to win...

Well, we got all the way up the piers, set our lentils, and laid a few courses over the lentil and quit at about 5 oclock. I think we've got a good chance to finish next weekend. Still have one window to go around and a lot of cuts in that gable. Probably about 500 brick left or so. I think we can do it in a day. My dang bricklayer is sooooooooo fussy, that everything is taking a lot of time. I guess that's good though, cause it looks great.

Just talked to RJ. Sounds like it was tough. A guy he knows won it with just under 11 lbs and it went down quick from there. Wondering when this lake is gonna really turn on?

I talked to my buddy Jay Lindsley....Tim you know him, he fishes the Wed. Nighters, he is the heavy set guy with the blue and white champ. He used to have a Maroon Ford Ranger....Anyway, he won the boater division. 4 fish just shy of 11 lbs. Caught them oon spinnerbait in the back of semetary cove. Didn't get a bite after 830. He won $3500...He is the same guy who won the Cedar Bluff make a wish 2 years ago. Then he won $5500

Yep, I know who you are talking about. Sounds like it was tough, will be interesting to see the final results.

I was pretty close on my prediction for 9-10 lbs to win...

Jason, from the Salina Club Baird took 7th with 2 fish and I took 8th with 1 fish and big bass 4 pds 7 oz.
pretty slow day. sucks when you are fishing 8 hours for 1 or2 bites.
a little sun or wind burned too.

Good job, Mike! At least you got something out of it. I wondered if the spinnerbait would win it and it sounds like it did. That lake is sure taking its sweet time to turn on.
