1994 150 Fast Strike question

I purchased this motor from a BBC member and it's been great!

Model J150GLERA

I'm almost ready to take her out for the spring. Are there any upgrades I need to know of? I read about changing jets and drain plugs on other older Johnson's. If someone could let me know that would be great! I'm also going to decarb the motor asap. Is there a particular brand I should use.

The 150's weren't subject to jet and drainplug issues, BRP engine tune is the best for decarbing, follow the directions on the can, but point the exhaust away from anything ya don't want to be black..... Also run a good oil, the XD-50 is a good oil, Prop her to run it the 5500 range....

A bottle of carbon guard in the tank a few times a season works too.

One more quicky...how tight do I tighten my prop. I just purchased a raker 24p prop and i need to install it.

I put a 2x4 between the prop blade and the cav plate, tighten to 70-80 ft lbs.
