I have a chance to move to Shepherdsville Ky. I am just wondering what the tournaments are like around that area ie size, entry, and payouts. If you have any links to area tournaments or clubs please im them to me or post them here.
Thanks Jason

I sent you an IM with my phone #. I moved here last year and would share the information that I have learned since moving here.
Fishing is really good in Kentucky, you just might have to adjust your style. I moved here from New England where I was used to fishing weeds and clear water and both of those conditions do not exist on the lakes I fish regularly.
stay away from the ohio river...some local guys claim to catch fish there, most people are not so luckyGreen river has some nice smallmouth but sometimes they seem to just vanish. I'm in a small bass club with low entry fee's/payout if you are more into fun fishing tournaments. The club does have a roll over 5lb big fish pot that is up to $515.00 though. Our tournaments are over for the year but we still have club meetings/poker/beer. Call our pres. Craig if you want to join 270 828 8316.

The Ohio River isn't for everybody...........it's pretty sad when you get all excited about catching a 12" fishThe good thing though is that you can keep the same 5 lures tied on all year long and catch bass consistently with them.
Don't forget while we're catching those 12" bass we're hauling in some huge cats and perch!! They still give ya a thrill especially in the heavy current.![]()

Not a thing wrong with the river. You just have to adjust to different conditions. A lot of people are afraid to fish it. It is tough at times but you can catch some nice ones out there. Best thing is you can be on the water during the week and fishing.
