Skeet Reese Rod....broke

Wondered if any of you guys had them break or not as well. I went to boat a maybe pound and a half maybe two pound fish and the tip just snapped like it was nothing. I bought it from BPS. Think there is anyway they will help me out?

If you have a reciept, they definitely will. If not, and you have a rewards card, they can look up the transaction if you remember the date you bought it. I know a few guys on the board work there and will probably know for sure if you don't have a reciept or card.

You probably damaged the tip and didn't know it. I've broken a bunch of rods over the last 40 years and almost all were from something I did. That said most companies will take care of you in some way. Falcon has replaced 2 rods I broke for basicly half price. I told them up front that the brake was my fault.

Well I read these things had issues so I babied the hell out of it. Sadly I doubt it was previous damage though I will certainly say you could be right. A buddy of mine snapped one in almost the same spot. I can say next time Ill steer clear of these things. I dont even know if Im going to bother trying to get it worked out cause I definitely dont want another one. But maybe they will let me trade in on something else.

Alex in the fishing department at Bass Pro will fix you up. Like I said, shouldn't be a problem at all especially if you have a reciept or rewards card.

And when the second rod they send you (because the first one broke in transit) has the tip eye bent all the way over they will tell you to "just bend it back. It should be fine"

I would like to apolagize. I went to land the first fish I caught on the 3rd of these rod I have. The damn thing snapped on a 2 lb fish. 2nd cast ever with the rod and they want me to pay to ship it to them and another $30 to replace it. I only paid $64.99 for but still.

Yea I still havent tried to take mine back in yet. But this weekend Im going to. Mine is about 9 months old but if it was lucky it had 10 fish on it. Just ask b******* I cant catch anything, therefore all my tackle gets really light wear.
