What oil should I run?

2011 Etec 250 HO. Run the XD 50 or the XD 100? Also is the motor ready for XD 100 or does it need to be set up for the different oil?

For best results and long engine life, run the XD-100, especially if you do a lot of high speed running.

The newer HO models (most of them) cannot be adjusted to the "leaner oil ratio" that recreational models have.

The XD-100 is all I run in my 03 DI. It don't matter to me, but if I was running an ETEC.....It's all I'd run...JMHO.

Just installed my 2012 225ho this past week and what seahorse said. Could not make a change on the oil usage. I was going to run xd100 any way. That is all that I ever ran in my 08 200ho.
