thanks for the help, heading to dale hollow

I posted on here a few weeks ago about ideas in ky. and it looks like we are going to Dale Hollow. We have never been before, and are looking forward to fishing it. We will be there from april 13-17, and will be staying at the Stae Pointe resort and campground. Anyone ever stay there and if so how is it? There are boat slips there at the campground, but should I worry about docking my boat overnight? Also, when is the spawn usually down there? Any tips would be appreciated. We are just weekend anglers, looking to get into some nice smallies, not to take anyones honey hole, just what to look for and maybe some local input on baits to try and types of water to target. Feel free to IM me if you feel more comfortable than posting on here. Thanks again for the suggestions earlier. Tie on a swimbait, a jig, and a 5" grub on a 1/4oz darter head an you won't go wrong. Big Hammer is a great bait as well as the storm wild eye shad on 1/2oz heads. Reel em very slow and hang on!!!!! Fish long tapering points and flats clos to the channel with grass. The east side banks of sulphur won't lead you wrong especially with a north wind. Channel swing points can also produce that time of year. Pulsey, Hendricks, sulphur, and jolly creeks can keep you busy! Find a pattern and duplicate it in all of them or others. I also like irons creek that time o year or any of the main lake humps you can find. Check out smalljaw.com for almost daily reports.
