Finally!!

Mike and I have finished a few places out of the money in all of our tournys this year and finally got a 2nd place check today on Barren. We had a great time fishing. Even doubled on 5lbers while prefishing yesterday. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Mike stayed focused all through the heat which was a feat in itself. I guess the coffee helped this morning.

I have a friend that fishes your division. We went down Thursday and caught several fish but they were not the right size for a tournament. What kind of weights were brought to the scales.

We had 16.19 but it took like 19 to win. a couple of 15 lb bags were brought up and several above 13. Big fish was 5.23.

After the rain in some areas some of the creeks were muddy. Nobody did very well fishing those areas. Most good bags came from around the main lake areas from what everyone was saying.

We never made it to the main lake. He was not dead set on fishing the tournament just for points. We were out checking places that we fish some of the time. We caught several fish but a limit of 15" fish is more than likely not going to cash a check in that division this time of year.

Brian, the day before we doubled on better fish than we caught during the tourney. Not sure what happened tot hem although I think if we could have fished longer we might have had a bigger bag. We had a big fish not doing to good and a dead battery.
