Wish day two could have ended up the same way though.

Nice fish. Still a little confused on how they did the weights. Seems jacked up.
As many as 3 boats made up a team. The two heaviest weights from one team were combined each day to give a total weight. If the team only had 2 boats, then both of their weights were added together, and if a team only had 1 boat then their weight was doubled for the day. The fact that one boat gets to double their weight is a little jacked up. That is how it was won. Eastern KY sent one team and they caught over 44 pounds for 2 days which gave them a tournament total for over 88 pounds.

I agree with Lee it was a great concept and a really fun tournament but the fact that the single boats where allowed to double their weights really made it hard for the other teams. Day one Nebraska has 22 pound there weight was doubled and they took the lead. The fact that if you look at the rest of the field very few teams came in with the same bags seems one team would do well and the other not so great which is what happened to us on day 2. Not taking anything away from EKU they did a great job and caught them both days.
yA I thought something was jacked up when I saw those weights.
Dang Chad looks like your is bigger than Ben's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,want to go fishing![]()

We knew we had a better shot at winning going into it with just one team, so that was our game plan. If we had brought another team I believe they would've caught 20+ pounds a day too and we still would've been in contention to win. We were on several good schools of fish, so good that we invited a Murray team catch 22lbs off the ledge we were fishing because we wanted two kentucky teams to finish 1st and 2nd. Our boats were side by side catching them cast after cast. Out of our 9 hour fishing day we fished about 2 1/2 hours each morning and went back to weigh in. I will admit it would be harder for two teams to catch 20+ pounds a day, but we were on the right fish to do that if we had brought another team. We just seen that bringing one team would be to our advantage. If other teams had a problem with that then they should've done the same.
