    Ranger Trailer

I'm having a few issues with my trailer. I think they should be covered under warranty but I'm not sure if I will run into any problems with all that is going on trying to make a warranty claim.

Issue 1: The weld is breaking/broke where the boat rides up on the wheel at the winch. The weld is broke on both sides at the front about an inch back and starting to break at the back. There only about 2" of good weld left. I'm afraid to pull it anywhere and not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Issue 2: The bump boards next to the wheels are coming loose. It looks like its held in by some sort of brad or screw and I can pull em out with my fingers. Looks like they are stripped out really.

Will this be covered under warranty and will I have any issues getting the warranty work done?

Any recommendations on who to take it to? Would you trust towing it somewhere to have the work done?

Rodney, you may have some insight.....

    Thanks,

    Matt

does yours have a safety chain that hooks from the trailer to the bow hook,,if not get you a length of chain, wrap it around the frame of the trailer and put a clevis thru the bow eye you should be able to pull it anywhere, have you tried r&w marine yet,,if not i could get it welded up for you tomorrow possibly,of course we would have to grind up the area of the paint and whatever caused the break so you would have to repaint that area after it was welded.Let me know after you hear from the dealers.

Matt if you just wind up needing it welded I can do that for you. I can also paint it for you if you would like.

Matt the fenders are pop-rivited I just fixed one of mine, they usually come out when the trailer gets too deep on the ramp and when loading someone gets on top of the board(like loading in the wind) I ordered mine from ranger parts it's about a 1 1/2 hour fix, if you can get the boat off the trailer it will be less but I just removed the whole fender. If you need a hand let me know, also like the others offered I'm a welder
