    Frustrated!

First off I know that I'm a crappy fisherman. I try hard but I'm just not that good. Even though I'm not all that good, I'm still ticked off that I can't seem to catch any decent fish on KY Lake these days. I mean, I fished 4 hours on Saturday and 4 yesterday and didn't manage one stiking keeper. How the hell are you guys doing it? I fished main lake points and banks as well as secondary points with nothing but a bunch of fricking buck bass.

Somebody please help me. I'm sick of this sheet.

If your a crappy fisheman shouldn't you be looking for crappy's. Sorry had to. I fished 9 on Sat and 4 on Sunday and didn't boat a keeper bass either. Lots of bucks.

I tried. Couldn't even catch one of them.

Good thought, but I left all my Chuck Woolery Motolures at home.

Until the water comes up those fish are still bunched up tight...the problem with that is, they are easy to miss. Keep running new stuff, you'll hit a pod before long.

Makes sense. Heck, I might even REALLY changes things up and go to Barkley later this week. Believe it or not, even though I'm closer to Barkley, I haven't fished that lake in over a year.

Mike, you're not alone.......fished a total of 16 hours this weekend on "hot" Kentucky Lake. I actually fish it every single weekend. Between my trips, we boated 3 Sat. and 1 on Sunday. You read the reports, and it seems easy. I talk to people who aren't even serious bassers, and they're bagging 20lb sacks with 8lbers in 'em. I fish my tail off- and fish what I believe to be the right water-and nearly blank. I probably fished too long Sunday before trying a new pattern, but these huge fish sure aren't on all the rocky points......now, boats sure are, but I'm not so sure about the fish. I'm already looking forward to the last of May. I still might not catch 'em, but at least I'll have my shorts on and my shirt off.

And I thought I was the only one a little lost right now. I gave up and started filling the freezer with Crappie.

I feel your pain. You hear that everyone is catching all these big bags of bass. Then you drive 3 hours to catch some nice bass but only a few here and there, with no biggins. Go south they say. They bring hundreds of bass from all over the lakes back to KDV, but yet they keep say go south. Where do all these bass go that are released in these marines?

The fishing is changing as we speak good buddy, the water is warming up and the fish are headed into the bays. I fished a lot at the mouths of the bays yesterday and caught a lot of short fish where as i had been catching some good ones. It weant be long at all before the fish ar right on the banks on those points in the bays.
