    Green River Lake today.

My father, Jacob, and I went to Green for a few hours today. Lots of people fishing today. The water is dingy and still cold on the main lake. 47.8-50. I did manage to catch a couple nice fish before we left. Got to drive down to Tn for a little league tournament. I caught them on a citrus fat free shad in about 12-15'. The funny thing is, I caught the one in the picture after we watched 2 guys go over that spot 2 times.

    Nice fish Daniel

I was looking for the results on the Green River Bass Club tournament that was held Sat on GRL. I briefly talked to a friend that had second hand information that there was two 20+ pound bags and fourth had 15+ pounds. I am yet to confirm the info...they should post the results on their web page Sunday.

That place does not have a name on a map. The locals do have a nickname for the Hollow. I think I could describe the area... Large cove one fork goes straight ahead one fork to the left. I have spent many hours in there in the spring...I know all the brush plies buy name in that area About 5-6 years ago I killed a turkey in the cedar thicket over your left shoulder.

Pastorbass and I fished in there on Monday. Jeremy had one small keeper on the brush pile about 75 yards behind your right shoulder..you done much better than we did

Yeah they smoked em at Green that day! The GRBC had a tourney and there were two bags over 20 an 18 and so on. Guess the guys that had already been over that spot had alredy caught the really big ones!LOL.

Good fish though Daniel, keep us posted.

No, I watched them. I tried cranking up shallow and was marking lots of fish in the 10-14' range. I started throwing a deeper running bait and that's where I caught them. We left right when the sun came out so I'd say they moved a little shallower in the day.

When Gene says I caught a small keeper what he meant to say was that I caught an 8 pounder

i call it "that pocket between butler creek and russell branch." its a good pocket until the house boats start bunching up in there.
that fish had some color. the fish we caught sat. looked more like white perch in the net.

That's it. I rarely fish at Green. Just in the spring but it's been pretty decent for me the last couple of years. Even for a fella that doesn't know much about the lake. I caught some nice fish in Butler and Russel last spring too. I wish I knew where they go in the summer. It's too close to home not to fish.

Nothing, I wasn't trying to hide anything. That's about like me picking out a spot in a pic on Dale Hollow at winter pool.
