First trip down planned on 25th, anyone know where to stay, eat, license, and most of all best areas of lake to be on. Also looking for a southern sd hotmap card if anyone wants to part with one.

there's plenty of hotels to stay in. just depends on what area of the lake. if you want to put in a goose pond, right off the main drag, there's a walmart so you can get your license, there's also steaks houses, food chains, hotels, grocery shopping etc. that puts you about a 1/4 of mile from the exit for goosepond, then you stay on that road for about 4 more miles and your there...if you keep traveling past goose pond, there's plenty of other ramps and stops. waterfront is a very nice tackleshop, and a ramp right across the streets. its probably 8 miles or so past goose pond, maybe further

I recommend the goosepond area. That area of the lake (goosepond to waterfront) is pretty awesome in the spring.
