He did it in a little aluminum boat with a 25 on it. He whacked them. It was pretty good fishing this weekend. I managed to have my best finish ever 3rd on the co-side.

Heres whats funny paul ernie has done this 4 times over 15 years and the bfl hasn,t done nothing about it so until all the circuits make the pipe off limits he will still do it.hows that for

I applaud the BFL for not making the "PIPE" off limits like the other panty waist circuits around the area. BFL rules states "any area designated off limits by state, local, or federal officials". Just because some hillbilly puts a sign in a creek or next to his dock thats says no fishing that's not legit. I have a 50k Bass Boat, Ernie had a 5k Aluminum boat. Chances are anyone in that tournamnet, that can afford a glass rigg could probably have gotten an aluminum rigg to access that pipe if they really wanted to.

Funny thing is I know Ernie very well and not only is he a first class fisherman, family man, and a real straight shooter... and I woun'nt be so sure he caught those fish in the "Pipe" He was seen in about four diffrent creeks, he fished out of his little boat, cause his lower unit was damaged on his 20ft Triton.

As for all of the guys out there that continue to gripe about this off limits and that.. There will come a day when the non-fisherman (pleasure boaters, land owners, etc) will make your faviorite fishing hole "no fishing" , and we will loose more and more public access, unless we as outdoorsman ban together to help keep our water rights and public access, instead of encouraging those who want to take it away
