I think you & Andy should stop doing that "hole sitting" $hit is what I think..........![]()
Getting outside help is no different than putting a fish on a stringer for "catching" laterIT'S STILL CHEATIN'...... If I was a pro and I pulled up on a spot I'd found and some azzhat was sitting there in his crapcraft holding the spot for someone else I'd fish it anyway.
Used to be you had to be careful who you showed your honey holes to, some loudmouth biscuit eater would tell everyone. Now they can just follow you and ******fish you when you aren't there by marking the waypoints. The times, they are achangin'.................

Not alot you can do about, I refuse to let some person who cannot play fair ruin my day.
This was not any of the pros, i think most of them have more class than to pull something like that.
100% not right. CheatingNow a days not too many people have respect anymore. I remember fishng last summer just out to catch a few and was fishing a point. a boat pulled up and starting idling towards me and started fishing right next to me. didn't ask or say kiss my blank or nothing. then gave me a look when i left like I had the problem.

Mike, I had the same thing happen to me on Ky Lake last year. I was fishing a grass point with a couple of other BBC members. A guy who must of thought hey three in a boat they are not fishing a tournament literally sat down in front of us and started fishing. I could have casted and hit his boat he was so close.![]()
I got the best revenge by landing three toads on my frog out of the same grass he had just fished BEHIND him, we made sure we were "livin it up" on every fish. Dude finally turned around glaring at us, I knew one of the guys with me has a carry permit and ALWAYS has at least one weapon on him somewhere as he hollors "how big a boy are ya", I am thinking oh no this is gonna get ugly. After a while he just threw his stuff in the locker and left.
Respect goes a long ways these days because so many have forgotten the meaning.

While I would never do it nor be a part of it, I really don't see it as cheating. Underhanded yes, but cheating no. If there's no rule against it, and you are openly able to do it yourself, it's fair game. It's kinda like baiting a hole with brush. Many people see that as cheating, but if I can do it just the same as the next guy, it's not cheating. Just my $.02

Most tourneys have rules against the practice, don't they?

Putting brush on a spot that anyone can come up and fish is totally different than having someong hold a spot for you that no one can get on until you get there...like apples and oranges.

Most orgs have this rule:
During tournament hours contestants may not obtain or receive assistance from noncompetitors, follow a noncompetitor's boat or participate in the practice of "hole sitting" or the placing of markers by anyone.

John you hit the nail on the head. there isn't much respect anymore. One thing i know I won't have to worry about is I'll never loose my self respect and bring myself down to that level
