A few days on the Hollow

I fished on Thursday from daylight til almost dark and it SUCKED!! The skies were high and the wind was howling. I didn't even get a bite. That's the first time I've ever blanked down there.

I went back on Friday evening to meet my brother who came up from Ga. We fished for about 2 hours Friday evening and I ended up boating 2. One was on the first cast.

Went back on Saturday morning and the rain started which led my brother to complaining and begging to go back. That sissy drove 5 hours and was scared of a little rain. I took him back then went back out. I caught 5 but no pics b/c the rain was coming down so hard.

My brother couldn't catch on to the deep water bite at all and I felt a little sorry for him. We only fished for a couple hours this morning and I got 2 bites, set the hook and passed the rod off to him.

All fish were caught on a jig on main lake points.

It was 46.8 a day break, and got up to 48.7 by mid to late afternoon.

The jerkbait is just around the corner!! Any day now! There were several people catchin fish on the edges of grass beds with the fnf. The fish are moving up!

Matt, Great Job! I knew you would be back on 'em in no time. Big brother couldn't handle the rain. Anyways, glad you caught some nice ones this weekend.

Good job getting on some good fish saturday Matt. It was tough out there in that weather. I still can't figure out what it was that made the day so tough. With the rain and clouds I really thought it would be a slugfest but it was defintely not. I didn't talk to anyone that caught any numbers at all.
