OMG 3.79 a gallon for diesel.. that is rediculous. hope the govt. knows that they are just brewing a civil war. people are spending a MAJORITY of thier incomes on gas. what happens when it gets to the point where people are spending all of their incomes on gas they they make no profit?

I agree,I think all working americans should go on a nation wide strike and not lift a finger until gas prices, health insurance, and illegals among other things are taken care of immeditly by our blind government.

I filled up the truck yesterday and Diesel here was $3.60 at the COOP.

I need to find something easier on fuel for a daily driver.

2006 F-350 Dually Diesel is not very economical.

Yep sense Sue is in a walker (cracked pelvis) I have had to do all the grocery shopping...yep is going up, and will continue to go up as long as diesel keeps going up.

Sadly enough if things don't change in the next 5 years we are heading for some real unstable times.

What needs to happen is a complete crumbling of the country....truckers run their trucks out of fuel and walk away leaving them where they sit!!!! Maybe then the jack asses on wall street will quite speculating and start shittn.....its not supply, its not demand its not all of the excuses they have used for 5 yrs now...its pure greed....the american way!!!!

I posted in this in the lounge earlier this week. It took $104 to fill up my truck on Wed. Morning. Just shy of 30 gallons at $3.49 9/10 for premium unleaded. This was the first time I have ever broken the $100 for a fill up...except for my boat.

Re: Fuel Prices (Passion 4 Bassin)

Filled up last night for $3.29 9/10 in Hazard. Saw it a high as $3.35 9/10 between Columbus Ohio and Hazard KY. Some of the highest prices were within a couple miles of the Marathon/Ashland oil refinery at Cattletsburg KY. Makes no sense to me unless it's "CORNHOLE" and I'm not talking about the game either.

    Re: Fuel Prices (mlh1955)

Its simple our government has been controlled by the oil companies for the past 20-30 years. If you look at campaign contributions oil companies where the top contributors until about 5 years ago when real estate companies took the major share. During that time with oil companies and the governments help patents for fuel alternatives where squashed and bought up to keep us dependent on oil. I do think its funny how the US is trying to force other countries into our way of life which is slowly spiraling downward.

    Re: Fuel Prices (lawdawg41)

I just heard a discussion the other morning on the radio..in the past 2 years the price of crude has doubled..the price of gas has nearly doubled and yet the oil big whigs profits have quadrupled ...and dont even get me started on a $4.49 gallon of milk...until something is done about fuel prices the cost of everything is going to continue its steady climb...Im averaging 150 bucks a week for fuel..and making the same wages ..its caused me to start looking for a new job...but theres no recession in our future to hear all the rich politicains tell it
