Fisherman's Headquarters at Ky Lake has new owner

Just found out recently that Fisherman's Headquarters tackle shop located at the triangle in Draffenville was bought by a good friend of mine, Bart Shultz. Bart is a stand up guy and I am sure that when he gets things set up right...we will now have another very good tackle shop that is customer oriented here at the lakes in addition to The Cabin Bait and Tackle.

I am sure you folks will find Bart user friendly....stop by there next time you are in town and say hello, welcome him to the lakes area and check out the store. The store is open right now but it will be undergoing renovation over the next two months getting ready for the season. By the way, Bart is asking folks to let him know what baits they would like to see stocked there so if you go by...you will find a clipboad by the counter asking for suggestions....you might even give him a call if there is something you would like to see stocked...270-527-5938.

Another place to sink what is left of my disposable income lol That is really good news Dave. We have been pretty limited on "good" tackle stores in that area. Looking forward to visiting the store.

That's Great! I've known Bart for a couple of years. He is nice, honest, friendly, just an all around good guy. He will treat anyone that comes in that door the way they should be treated. Bart and his wife are just what Draffenville has been needing.

Glad to see that one under new ownership! I haven't been in there in a long time, I reckon I might do a little more shopping there now.

You are right about old Bart there Dave, he is a stand up guy who really enjoys talking to fisherman about fishing. He and i got to talking fishing two years ago and before he left the shop he and his buddy Joe Workman both bought new rigs from me. If you need some new baits just give old Bart a call and if he doesnt have it i am sure he will come up with it for ya. Good luck at the new store Bart i am 100% sure you will do good there. Rodney

I talked to Bart about this and yes you can definitely expect to see some price changes. He also will be renovating the store and reorganizing it to make it more user friendly.

This store is definitely needed on this side of Ky Lake, especially since Baits and Bullets has closed and is being auctioned off tomorrow and Fast Eddie's on U.S. 68 burned down Sunday night.

I visited with Bart for a while at the store yesterday and I can tell you that he is committed to providing a top notch bait and tackle shop for area anglers in a friendly atmosphere.

Wow, Fast Eddies burned down. That is a shame. I will have to find somewhere else that fills the RV tanks for my propane up there. I was in there at least weekly. Dave I noticed a FOR SALE sign in front of Judys last time I was there. Is it for sale also ????

Judy's has been for sale for at least a year maybe longer. You might check Lovett's on 408 just as you enter Benton for the propane. I used to take my motor home over there and get the propane tank filled, wife says they still refill tanks there.

Planning on being up this weekend for the Jet-A-Marina open house. I am sure I will need some propane for the furnace lol. Thanks for the Info. Judy's sounds like it may be a good opportunity for you Dave. Established guide service and a tackle store ! Can't go wrong lol

Midway Trailer Sales located in back of Ducketts and Kentucky Fried Chicken In Calvert City ( I=24 and Rt64) will fill tanks. It's kinda hidden up the hill on the side road to Ducketts. About a half mile from Jet-a
