    We need some scales!!!

It's about time we purchase a set of scales to use at rallies and other functions. There's enough of us that regularly attend these things that we can pitchin and buy some so we don't have to be left wondering if they are going to be available. I make the motion that we take donations and buy a set of scales and a small folding table and basket. They will be the property of the In/Oh/Ky/Tn BBC club. May I have a second on this motion?

I think the next step is to decide what type of scales/accessories to get. I know most use the Equalizer scales. Any suggestions from you guys that have experience?

The Equalizers are NICE! Only thing, is the price tag is large!!! In my opinion, since we're not really fishing for HUGE jackpots, is to just buy a postal scale - I found a few on Ebay that weigh up to 35# and cost MUCH, MUCH less than the equalizers...

    I don't see why that wouldn't work.

My opinion is, that these rally's are for fun, more than anything... Why waste $400 on a set, when we can get these for what, $20.00 delivered?

Guys, I bought one - we'll see how it goes. If they don't work out, then I wasted 20.00

Wouldn't be the first time any of us have wasted $20. I'm pretty sure I wasted more than that in gas Sat.

I hope someone catches a string so big those 30lb. scales won't weigh them at the Rally in May.

Thanks Brad! The next time we're together we'll take up a collection and pay you back.

Just guessing but the postal scales are probably not waterproof like the equalizers....just a thought
