There are 2 or 3 guys here that competed on these teams I believe. They should be on soon and give you some info.

Well, I started the club at UK about 5 years ago, if you do decide to go to UK, I can put you in contact with the current president. Its a great sport at that level and I'm sure you would love it. And it can be a good way to start a career while you get your EDUCATION, this sport costs a lot of $$$ and you need that education first .

P.S. In the event UofL attempts recruiting, politely decline, they couldn't fish their way out of a wet paper bag.

Ditto on what buzzking2001 says....... get your education first, even if it is from the University of Kentucky --- a degree is a degree

Kyle, all of these teams are club level, correct? Did you get any help at all from the university? I would guess that you all were on your on. Just curious as to how the club level sports work I guess. I know there are no scholies offered but not sure on other particulars.

Our student gov't used to give us $500 a year, it helped. We had some other pretty good deals though, valvoline was pretty good to us, along with some others

EKU has a great team. I was the president last year and helped form the club. We have one of the largest teams in the nation 30-40 members. Its really a great deal, if you make it to the championship tournaments the school pays for everything and we get university excuses. We got 4k from the student Gov. last year and brought home 6k from one of the championship tournaments so it should keep going strong. Let me know if your interested in coming to EKU and I will put you in contact with some of the guys on the team. Drew.

    Thanks for the responses!

Its gonna be a tough decision as to whether or not I'm gonna stay in state. I heard the Ohio State is trying to revamp thier team, but that would probably mean I would have to fish aorund where I always have.

What lakes are near UK and EKU?

Thanks a lot ...guess I need to take up bashing as a pastime like you...because everyone wants to be like Kyle!

As for the real question at hand, you should look very closely at Murray State. Kentucky Lake is only about 20 or 30 minutes from Murray, depending on how fast you drive. You also have LBL with plenty of hunting opportunities as well as the lake for duck hunting. I went to Murray for as long as I could until I had to transfer to U of L to finish out my engineering degree. I would have stayed at Murray if I could have, because it was much more fun than anything Louisville had to offer!

College bass fishing was a blast, and I wish I could have had one more year of it, because I was just getting good! Kyle talks a lot of talk and I was looking forward to eventually beating the crap out of him, but that's okay, I'll have my chance eventually What goes around comes around

    CJ,

You should go to this site:

    http://www.collegebass.com/

Click on where it says "Sound Off" and join the forum. The majority of college bass clubs and their presidents are on that forum and will be happy to answer any questions you have about their teams and their schools. Anyone can join and it would be a great way for you to learn all about it.

Come on Kyle. Nate Dog, P Dizzle, and Myself get no love for that? Like you started it all by your lonesome.
