    Bad day at Patoka

I started the day with a 5 lber and my partner pulled in a 3.35 then everything went wrong. I lost a 2 lber at the boat my own fault for trying to sling it to the boat the I had a 3 plus on and my partner had the net ready when the fish jumped and hit the net and came unhooked. Then later we ckecked our live well to see how the fish were doing and the 5 was in bad shape so we decided to weigh in early since dead fish didn't count and on the way in my motor blows so I stop a pontoon and they tow us in. We did get to weigh the fish but big bass was a 5.70. I think we made the right decision it would have been hard to replace that 5 lber in a hour and a half and the motor would have blown anyway so we might not have made the weigh anyway.

Man that is a real bummer, especially after it started off so good. I hope the motor is not as bad as you think.

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.... Sorry to hear about the blown engine...I feel your pain, having been there 3 times in the past 3 years...
