    fish on the beds

I went to Green River Lake Friday and the weather was high 50s but at the tail end of a cold spell. Water temp was mid to upper 50s. Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday we had high temperatures around 80. The water jumped to mid 60s and the fish responded buy heading straight to the backs of the coves and building nests. Monday and Tuesday I found probably 15 nest but only one of them had a large female locked on it. Most of them had small bucks just circling around like sharks. I actually saw one nest that had four males that averaged 2 pounds circling around one nest. I suck at bed fishing gave up a long time ago. From what I saw today you need to target the 4-8 ft deep water... that is where the staging females are and yes they want to bite before they go to bed

I guess this post belongs in the fishing report forum but I posted it here to see if anybody else had seen any bedding activity?

Saw a bunch on the beds on Nolin sunday. When you get upriver on Nolin a little the fish act like it's a river and will spawn anywhere they can (rough is the same way). I saw fish rolling over each other on banks that were no where near the back of creek. Bass porn is a pretty cool thing to watch .

You sure you weren't watching carp mating season davy? I've never seen bass roll on the bank to spawn.

Not unless acid rain and global warming have turned the carp on Nolin green with black spots.

Me and Joe Neuhaus talked about this the day that we fished together. Those lake are strange in where fish spawn at. They'll spawn anywhere they can.
