    Trying to get going again

Well the VA has put me on some kind of new meds, but have to keep track of my kidney and liver function real close So hopefully that will help fix some of my weight loss and lack of energy problem

Other than that towing my rig home in a down pour with out the cover, flooded my bow 102C, and it is way out of warranty. SO with bosses permission, I have ordered a 520C for the console and will move the 332C I now have there to the bow. Next step is figuring out where to mount the GPS module on the bow.

Taking Trailer next week to have all the bucks replaced and recarpeted, could not believe my trailer did not have treated lumber for the runners

Truck goes back Friday for the last of the small stuff that has been driving me nuts with it.

HOPE this is the end of all this stuff that started at the first of the year

So maybe I can get back to thinking of going fishing again soon.

Bill they did not rot...someone backed into my trailer last year and broke a big chunk of the back of one of the runners. Was just going to get that fixed when I noticed it was not treated lumber.

That's different then. Hard to believe that some clown hit you and at least didn't leave a note. Even more hard to believe that they weren't made with treated lumber. At least you'll have the Toon ready to roll soon!

I hope those new meds works good for you Ed. I think there is a black cloud hanging out over us old jarheads. My engine blew up yesterday on the way back to the launch site...second time in less than a year...this is getting old....

Re: Trying to get going again (Dave Stewart)

Man that's a kick in the teeth Dave. I've heard of it happening to people, but not twice in that short of a time period. Of course you do log a lot of hours on one I guess, but you'd think it would go longer than that.

Ed skip treated lumber for bunks and pay a little more for the composite stuff. It won't be all that much more and you won't have to replace them again.

DAM Dave, now you got me wondering if I even want to fire mine up now. Has not been started since last year.

Is the engine still under warranty? or do you have to many hrs on it?
Either or that is a kick in the pants for sure.

Hope you got another rig you can barrow, or that is going to be a real bummer in your situation.

Good Luck with the rebuild Dave.

Billy I have looked at that composite stuff at Lowes, like the idea and all but its expensive and HEAVY. Not sure the brackets are made to handle that much more weight, so will stick with the treated lumber.

Re: Trying to get going again (EdDavisKY)

I had that powerhead put on last summer and it is still under warranty thank goodness. Dropped the boat off at Jet-A-Marina this morning and in their usual efficient manner they have already ordered me a new one. Have already arranged for a loaner boat thanks to one of my fine friends...

Sometimes it seems life really sucks Ed, but there are still a lot of good folks in this world that will bend over backwards to help you out if you will just let them...remember that Ed...we are all on your side here at BBC...

Re: Trying to get going again (TNLegend)

Thanks you two ex jar heads, and everyone else. I know about the being tough and keep going....but dam at times it just mounts up and ya want to quite....but dam USMC training does not allow that, so I bite the bullet and keep on trucking even if the gears are grinding and wheels are wobbling
Guess there is something else in me that Sue is always jumping on me about, I will not ask anyone to help if I can do it myself even if it takes longer
BUT she keeps reminding me you are not no spring chicken anymore and time is caught you
