Well, my dreams have vanished. The official word came out today. The BFL will be going out of Star Point at Dale. Anyone have any largemouth or spots tied up down there? Its gonna be a tough one. Hopefully the warm temps will come and stick around. I'm def. not looking foward to it

Drew....after seeing the pics of the hawg smallies you have been sticking at C-Land this past year, I have no doubt that you can put together a winning pattern on Dale Hollow. Whether you are real familiar with that lake or not...you have shown that you can catch good fish and Dale Hollow is a much better lake than C-Land. I know I wouldn't bet against ya
If I were going after lm I would head way up the wolf river. there's quite a bit of cover up there plus the water is less clear and will warm faster.

The problem that Drew and all the rest of us tournament fishermen have at Dale is catching too many smallmouth. You are only allowed one over 21" and one under 16" and the 21" is almost impossible to catch. If we could get a waver for these tournaments like we get in FL. and other states, to keep fish in the slot, the problem would not be so bad. If any of you fish Dale you will not believe the number of 19-20" smallmouth.

Are there two of them 1) March 3 and 2) March 24th ???? Star Point - do most launch at a state ramp and check-in ?? Star Point isn't that big and only two one lane ramps isn't it ??? Good luck...
Yes there will be one on March 3 and then another on March 24. Crazy I know, but yes, we will be going out of Star Point. It does get rediculously crowded so I stay at Eagles Cove and boat over for take off.

44 or 45 down by the dam to 42-43 at the ky state ramp.
Drew I will be at Star Point that weekend. We have a group of guys I think 5 boats in our group that will be fun fishing that weekend. I will be on a houseboat in Star Point. We will wait until you all launch then we take off behind you all. I'll keep an eye out for you.
Thats fine, just dont hold me to catching fishIf you see me give me a shout. I'll be in my white and green charger w/200 optimax. I think for this tournament I'll actually pray for a late draw to get another half an hour in the evening.
