Best spot for water pressure guage

I have a 1992 Johnson 200 (model # VJ200SLENS) seems to have low water pressure compared to what is talked about on this forum. Just wondering where the best place on the cooling system is to get the best water pressure reading? Replaced the water pump this spring, didn't see much if any change. Thanks

That is a High volume low pressure motor if you see above 16 you are OK they don't put a lot of stream out of the tell tale due to the power boost system.

Thanks for the reply, it appears that the guage feeds from a 't' in the line going to the tell tale, is this where it should be or is there a better place? It looks like it was added not from the factory.
