I just got an email today about the formation of the U of L Bass Fishing Team. Thought I would pass it on. They are looking for sponsors so I also thought I would throw the info out there and maybe we could spread the word for them. I sent the guy a link to our site so maybe they'll stop in. Here is the email I got.
Why didn't my school have this?![]()

> Hi, my name is Eric Hickman Jr. and I am with the University of
> Louisville Bass Fishing Team. We started the team about 2 months ago.
> We have 13 members now with growing interests. The team will be
> fishing in the following leagues: ABA CAST, Smash-Mouth Collegiate
> Bass (ESPN), CBAA, and the BFL (FLW). Starting out we are trying to
> find supporters who may want to be affiliated with our club, helping
> it grow, and become successful. Right now we have a few companies
> that are behind us such as Ranger Bass Boats,Plapp's Outdoors, Usher
> Transportation, Prowler, Bass Pro Shops, International Paper Company
> and Clear Channel Radio. On the Clear Channel Radio the radio stations
> that the club will possibly be broadcast on (such as tournaments,
> fundraiser events, meetings, and our sponsors):
> WAMZ-FM(97.5);WQMF-FM(95.7);WTFX-FM(the Fox 93.1); WZKF-FM(Kiss
> 106.9);WHAS-AM;WKJK-AM;WKRD-AM;WLUE-FM. One of our coaches sister
> works for the Clear Channel Radio station that is why we have been
> able to do this.
>
> I will be hosting a fundraiser tournament next month where the team
> will be representing our sponsors, passing out flyers, hanging
> banners, wearing patches, and placing decals on our automobiles. We
> also have contacted FLW Outdoors Magazine of writing an article on us,
> trying to get with hall of fame coach Denny Crum who is an avid bass
> fisherman and recognize us on his radio show, talking to all Kentucky
> college's to create an instate rivalry between UofL, UofK, Murray,
> WKU,
and EKU.
> This past weekend we fished an ABA on Kentucky Lake, where our
> secretary beat not only the CAST members, but the entire field of
> Pro's and Co anglers. He brought in 16.71 lbs. which is currently the
> largest 5 fish limit in the nation by a CAST member. We have a lot of
> great ideas and hopes for this club, just looking for a little support
> and
guidance.
> Anything would be appreciated,
