    Barren this weekend

I have a tourney at Barren this Saturday and was wondering how many of you have fished it recently. I heard from Ed and he says the shad are pretty much everywhere so where is everyone catching and what are ya getting them with.

Seriously, I am not after secrets here, just what you are using and where you are using it, and how you are working it

    Any help would be appreciated.

My company is having a tourney there this weekend also. Wish I didn't have to work or I'd been down there to. Good luck

Mike did you get my IM about a blue gil crank bait, that came from someone I was talking to the other day, seems he did pretty good with one Bandit series 200 that had the color of a blue gill.(chartreuse on the sides) and way back as far back as you can get in the creeks, specailly way up Barren River, or Peter Creek. But the guy I was talking to has a JET boat, so he can get WAY up them.

Mike where are you all putting in at? Morning or Night Tourney?

I am going to be heading down there on Saturday around 3pm so I should be at the lake around 5pm. Going to put in at Baileys campground and fish that evening and the next morning.

    Hey ED

on needing a jet boat. Right now I have a 19 footer with a 150 but I am considering getting a 17 jet with a 90 just for shallow water.

Mike thanks for the 7 AM warning guess I will either have to beat ya all there or wait till you all launch....going to be a zoo at the ramp, at lest it will be all fisherman and no pleasure boaters
