    Barren Mini-rally

As usual, a good time was had by all who attended. We had a good turnout with 6 boats and everyone had a partner.

Daniel & Gene won but it was very close. The difference between the winner and last place was 2.5 pounds.

AJ and Goldentongue took second, good job guys!

Eric(Sticks11) took big fish with this nice smallie!

The highlight of the day was going over to Ed's place! Ed has 33 acres in Summer Shade and you should see the view from his back yard! Ed's wife prepared a meal for us that was nothing short of spectacular! The only reason Ed is not as fat as the rest of us is because he has to work his butt off to keep that farm in shape.

Thanks again Ed and Susan for your hospitality and generosity! I think I can speak for everyone when I say that the favor will be returned to you both

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (Daniel)

Hope everyone made it back home safely. I know after eating a meal like Ed's wife had prepared for us would make for a long ride trying to drive on a stomach full of food.

Remember Mike your diet strats next week.

Thanks Daniel for having me as a partner. Thanks to Ed and Susan for having us over after the tournament. This was my first BBC Rally and I really enjoyed myself. Looking foward to going back to another one.

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (mikedaleo)

I've got to echo the comments made by Mike and others on the board! It was an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME DAY!!! Mike did a great job running the show, the weather was perfect, the fishing was great and everyone shared information with each other. Only in a BBC event can you have a spirited competition and still help one another learn by sharing fishing information! Last and certainly not least Ed and Susan's hospitality set the standard for years to come as they opened their house like we were family!! Susan cooked a GREAT meal and Ed showed us how he has his fishing tackle organized! Trust me it is Organized!!!!

Thanks to all for an amazing day!!!

Well we both enjoy having you guys over...Susan was glad everyone enjoyed the meal ! She said what a nice bunch of guys and all polite and courteous.
So maybe we can do this again, and she just yelled at me you are all welcome back anytime ! Next time will have to allow for more time so you can pick Tomatoes like you where supposed to

Hey Rick wife says you make a bed better than she does and was tickled that you left it just as you arrived, which was not required but greatly appricated.

Again you all be welcome back here any time

A day late and a dollar short. I ran down to Clarksville to p/u a Bullet that my friend bought i guess i should have left a day earlier .Dan'l hope to meet up with you and Mike again at Santee.

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (CincyBas)

It was great to meet all of you. So when is the next one?

Ed you were a great host, thank you. And what a wonderful meal Susan made up for us. It was a tough drive home on a full stomach. You have a beautiful home and what about that great view.

It was great to fish all day with a good bunch of guys and then sit and share stories over a great meal.

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (Sticks11)

Had a great time!! Just hope the water is down some next time or at least the legendary large mouth of Barren are out. Wish I could have hit the barbecue but I had to get back and get ready to leave out for Laurel Lake. I am going to try to get some of the pictures up that I took.

Billy would have been must closer and faster for you to leave for Laurel from my place,(1.5 hrs @ the most) that lake is one of my wife's favorites, due to the Bald Eagles and Osprey we have seen there

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (Bassin19X)

I can't believe you guys are tormenting us like this. One pic..That's it.
Come on what was the winning team weight and so on.

What seemed to be the Holiday week end ticket for catching some fish? Where were you guys getting them. Sounded like everyone had got something. Don't need specifics just gps coordinates and bait manufacture model #'s , stuff like that.

Sounds like I missed out on a good one!
How did you guy's avoid all the Tube/Ski traffic? I was out there for about an hour just trying out a new prop and took a beating.
Hey Daniel, if you fished Skaggs, you were right behind my house......
I'll get with you guy's on the next one!

    Re: Barren Mini-rally (LTS)

Everyone beware of Daniel and his crankbait.

We pulled in on a spot a I pointed out a area that had four stumps under water and within a couple of minutes he cought 1 slot , 1 keeper and a shortie. All within a 35 yard area.

With results like that I will be your bird dog on point anytime
