Bass Pro Shops is happy to announce that it will be hiring nearly 80% of our workforce at our Job Fair that will take place starting Monday, August 29th and run thru Wednesday, August 31st at the Holiday Inn Lake View, 505 Marriot Drive, Clarksville, Indiana.

Bass Pro Shops has excellent full-time and part-time employment opportunities in all Departments. Retail experience is a plus and a love for the outdoors is encouraged.

People who are interested in working for the “Great American Outdoor Store,” please apply in person at the fair.

Visually there will plenty to see: Taxidermy, products, boats, and ATV’s will be a hint of what’s to come when Bass Pro Shops opens its new store in November.

Wonder whats wrong with Kentucky ? How come they will not put a store in the KY state, Cincinnati has one now less than 100 miles away they are going to put in another one. All around Ky but none here, and keep putting them in states with a higher sales tax.

Indiana has the same sales tax as Kentucky and the Clarksville Indiana store is in the Louisville metro area. That makes it less than 90 minutes from Lexington, KY and about the same from Indianapolis. Indiana also is one of the larger Federation Member states as I understand, despite our lack of major lakes. Indiana also has has over 1.5 million more population located in a smaller area. Ohio, has MANY more people than KY. In the end however, all of those things matter, but affordable real estate in a high traffic area probably clinched the deal for Indiana. Just my opinion!

Part of it has to do with the fact that the largest mall company in the world bought the River Falls property and can draw big vendors like BPS and make long term deals with them. They are a huge developer and the type of landlord that I would expect BPS to deal with.
