    225 HO E-TEC

I was running down the lake on sunday with a good bag on my home lake when I felt the engine loose some power and i watch the RPM's drop from 5500 to 4000. went into a nowake zone under a bridge then had trouble getting on plane...finally did then stopped to fish...never was able to get back up on plane...some people have said a fuel injector, but I'm not sure...I'm taking it to the shop either way, but just wanted to know if anyone had any idea of wtf could possbily be wrong...it wouldn't go above 7mph after all that happened...

Must be the Etec flu, that pretty much describes what mine did this weekend, see 200 HO issue down lower on this page. My shop replaced the capacitor, I'll find out saturday if that's what it was or not. Mike

If it starts up fine but will not accelorate then it is a good chance the TPS has gone out on you.
