I replaced my Marathons just today with Maxxis. They also have just stopped making white raised letter tires but my dealer found a set up in Louisville and had them shipped here.

I replace mine with Goodyear Marathons. They just dont hvae the raised white letters anymore. Still the same tires just dont look quite as "flashy".

I replaced my Marathons last month with Cooper Commodors. All 5, mounted and balanced for $399.00. Tires were made in the U.S. and pulls and rides like new. I was dead set on having white letters, but with everyone discontinuing them, they were outragous in price if you could even find them.

Re: Trailer tires for tandem ranger trail (beaveflipper)

Last March, I replaced all 4 tires on my 2005 Ranger 520 with the blackwall Goodyear Marathons from China. There have been lots of bad comments concerning this tire, but so far.....mine have been fine. In fact, the new tires took less weight to balance compared to the old tires. IMO the best thing is to monitor the 50 psi often and have the tires check-balanced after a 1,000 miles or so.

Maxxis was the best tire I could find, when I did my research.
seemed like Alot of RV/horse trailer people really liked them.
