Anyone know where Dri Doc put the vin # on their trailers?
Sticker doesn't count, police say say it should be stamped into the metal. Can't read sticker anyway, it's faded.
Thanks

Dont know about Dri Doc but EZ Loader, atleast used to, engrave the last 5 digits into the tongue.

Thanks hsb, the last 4 are engraved like you said, but the police said he wouldn't sign the affidait unless he seen the whole vin like is on the registration.
Buying a boat from a different state is a nightmare to get it titled.
Gotcha. Ask them if it would be acceptable to have the vin engraved or stamped into the frame. If so, borrow a Dremel tool and engrave it into the frame. See DMV said that having those on mine were just fine. Is Dri Dock still in business, if so you may be able to contact them and see if they can get you a new vin decal.

Nope.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
There is a aluminum plate attached to the inside of mine near the tongue but under the boat. It's not real noticeable unless your looking.

Life is kinda hard but it's
better than the other options .. er ..option !
i had the same problem--the guy i bought my outfit from put gator-hyde on the trailer the painted it black...great if you dont sell it
if you have the paper work for the trailer that matches the digits on the trailer that was good enough to get into canada
i dont think the manufacturer put the whole VIN stamp on the trailer...
good luck
just whent through this myself, bought a boat from tennessee and brought back to indiana. couldnt read vin sticker at all. since tennessee doesnt title trailer i had to get a new vin number assigned to it, then have it engraved on plate and attach it to the trailer then was able to title and plate.
I finally got everything tiled and registered, thankfully I didn't have to have a new number assigned to it. Thanks for the help.
