Going to a new(used) tow vehicle with the 7 wire harness. What do I have to do on the trailer side, I think it has a 5 pin.
Thanks John

Depends on the vehicle. Most of the time you just need a 7 to 5 adapter and you are good to go. Some vehicles (IIRC Fords several years ago) need a fuse added or even wiring to enable the backup lights to disable the brakes.
The 7 to 5s aren't as easy to find as the 7 to 4s.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,

order one like this, I have a black one..Just coil up the trailer end and zip tie it down to the trailer tounge and let the addapter do the work..http://<a href="http://www.easternma...7...47025</a>/or a cheap one like this and stretch your trailer wire out http://<a href="http://www.easternma...7...47375</a>/
