Does anyone tow with a Tacoma? I am in the market for a new car and want to get something with a V6 to save on gas, but with 4x4 for the snow. I have a 18'9 ranger single axle that i would be towing. I was looking at F150s but they don't have a V6 4x4 only V8 4x4.

I have an 06 Double cab 4x4 4.0 v6. Tows my 18 ft Lowe with no problems. Gets me 17 mpg every day driving. I have seen 21 mpg on interstate empty, but 19 mpg is more realalistic. I get between 15 & 16 mpg towing, but I run pretty close to the speed limit. The truck is pretty torqey. The only concern is stopping. I don't have a problem, but because it is lighter than a full size you'll want to allow a little more distance. Great mid size truck couldn't be happier with it.
It will pull it fine. I have 04 D/C pulling a Nitro and pulled a tractors and other heavy equipment with it.. And stopping will be fine too.
I have a 07 Quad Cab 4x2 and pull a stratos 285 XL single axel and it does a fine job

I pull an 18.5 ft Skeeter TZX-190 with my 2001 Tacoma 3.4L V6 5-speed 4WD TRD.
I have had no issues pulling my boat with it. Just as others have said, since it is a light truck, just give yourself plenty of stopping room.

I pull my 21 ft Allison just fine with it. Gets 9 mpg towing and about 18 not towing. If you could wait and get an Ecoboost F150 you will tow much better and get better mileage.
