    Anyone know if Timken is still making bearings in the U.S.

    I see them for sale at 2X the price of China imports and don't mind paying the extra if they were made here.
    I just had and import bearing go belly up because of defects in manufacturing.
    The bearing did not clean up during grinding after the heat treat process.
    The national brand manufacturer of brakes and hubs pressed it in one their products without looking at it.Poor quality control seems to be the norm these days.
    Let the customers find the defects.

    i think the last ones I got were China from them also.

    I just got one from McMaster-Carr,USA made.
