    trailer tires

I have a 18 1/2 foot boat on a single axle trailer. The tires on the trailer are showing wear on the outside of the tread. One side is showing a good bit worse than the other. How long do trailer tires usually last? I am thinking that I am going to have to replace them at the end of this year.
Another question...Can I replace the tire that is worn more with the spare tire and let that get me by for a little while or is that a bad idea?
Tires are 3 years old BTW.

    Re: trailer tires (MS fisherman)

Yes and Yes. Tires are recommended to be replaced every 3 to 5 years regardless of tread depth.
