Just had my EZ Loader Custom Trailer freshly painted. Now I need to reattach the diamond plating. Originally some adhesive strips were used (worked well so far). What do you guys recommend. I was wondering using silicon to attach. Also the rivets used, are these special rivets for water exposure or are these fairly standard?

I used Stainless rivets. Aluminum will work also. since the plate is aluminum also. But the stainless will not corrode so fast.
I used aluminum rivets when I put mine back on. I don't know what the tape was for, probably just to hold the plate still while all the holes were drilled in the trailer. I didn't used anything under them, just riveted it back in the same holes.
