What do you use to secure the bow of your boat to the trailer?

Is it a low that you need to supplement the winch hook with an additional strap or rigid bar?

This is what the boat mate trailers use(below). It is a turnbuckle tie down and you tighten it so there is no slack. It has clear tubing around it so that you can twist it by hand easily.

    Duane,
That looks awesome! Wonder where I could get one for my Triton?

I bet you could either make one from parts from the hardware store or call BoatMate trailers.

Check your local laws. MN says it must be a secondary chain, a strap is technically not legal. But I would venture to say you would never be caught unless you had an accident.

Dang officer, that guy hit me so hard the chain must have flown off into the field over there....

My Skeeter trailer has a chain.
