    Brake fluid leak?

I recently swapped out my actuator on my 02 Ranger trial and bled the lines. Took it out yesterday for the first trip. Seemed to work great, got home, backed my boat in the garage up a slight incline and noticed the actuator was fully compressed which I didn't think it should be?....anyways I released it and checked the fluid. Just slightly down.
This afternoon I came home from work to check it again, still the same level so I added a bit. Looked under the boat and there was a puddle right under my back right leaf spring. I am assuming it was brake fluid because the rest of the floor was dry and most of the water dripping from my bunks should have dried up by now.
I went under to inspect and everything was bone dry on the brakes themselves and the fittings, I couldn't find a trace of fluid or signs of a leak anywhere. Yet I had a good size puddle on the floor.
Any ideas on where this leak is, if I have one?

The actuator will be fully compressed when you are backing up. The solenoid will by-pass the brake fluid back into the master cylinder and this will let the actuator fully compress when you back up. As far as the leak goes, you will just have to keep tracing it down. Might have been water from the boards on the trailer.

The actuator always compresses all the way back when backing. The front pin is what pushes the trailer back. The purpose of the solenoid is to dump fluid to the side and back to the reservoir, otherwise the brakes would come on. Not sure what your puddle was but if everything looks dry and the fluid maintains, it's most likely not brake fluid. Be sure to pull your actuator back forward each time you park the trailer, to protect the sleeve in the master cylinder. To check if your brakes are still bled, simply unplug the trailer plug and try to back up. If the forward pin is 1/2 to 3/4 of the way back in the travel slot on full brake application, the brakes are bled properly.

    Re: Brake fluid leak? (DABS)

Thanks for the feedback , I pumped it for a while again last night, could hear the brakes engaging and releasing, still no signs of a leak and nothing on the floor. Hoping it was just water but I might bleed it again and keep an eye on it to make sure
