    Installing a-60 actuator

Getting a new actuator next week to swap out my old one that is leaking. Just wondering if anyone knows what size line wrench I need for the break line and how should I disconnect the other line (I believe to the solenoid)?
Also will the tongue strength be compromised at all from having a leak before. I noticed a lot of paint along the bottom of the inner member has disappeared and it now looks corroded.

it should be a 3/8 wrench (i have the ufp thermo cables)

the solenoid line is just a rubber hose with zip ties at each end...

i doubt the strength was compromised but brake fluid will remove any paint it sits on for some time...

great, thanks! This may sound like a stupid question but how do you get the retainer clips off the pins so it will slide out?

    Re: Installing a-60 actuator (DABS)

thanks, picked up a pair and now just can't get the back roller pin out. Sprayed it with WD-40 and hammered it several times, tried for over an hour with no luck. Have some penatrating spray on it now to sit overnight.
I also hooked up the wiring to see if my solenoid made that clicking noise when I put it in reverse.....nothing. Unless my buddy can't hear it looks like I'll be ordering a new solenoid as well

    Re: Installing a-60 actuator (Shermy)

Use a large bolt in the center of the pin, and a bigger hammer. Try to keep away from the edges or they will mushroom and not only will you not be able to get it out, you will need to get a new one. If it doesn't come out from one side, try the other.. worst case scenario is bevel it and replace it. Usually the bigger hammer will work in the Center of the pin.

ok, thanks. I've got it through on one side but I think it has mushroomed and it's stuck again, I've been using a large bolt, just have to figure out how to get it all the way through now.

Pin will have to be filed and sanded or replaced.

MORE THAN LIKELY, YOUR LEAK IS THE BYPASS LINE FROM THE SOLENOID TO MASTER CYLINDER RESEVOIR.

    Re: Installing a-60 actuator (JAZII)

definitely took a bigger hammer and a lot of convincing but I finally got it out. When I connect the brake line to the new master cylinder and solenoid, do I need to use any sealer or teflon tape on the threads?
