    spare tire question

I recently had a flat and replaced one of my trailer tires. The spare is still on the trailer and was wondering should I:

A - put the new tire on the spare holder and use old spare as regular?

B - put new tire on trailer and put old spare back on holder?

    2003 tandem axle trailer(Triton TR-21)

    Thanks

    Re: spare tire question (Misfit)

I purchased two new tires last year. I rotated the spare unto the trailer and new tire to the spare. Last week that spare exploded on the way home...had the proper tire pressure etc..just dry rot. I guess I got good life from the spare as my boat is a 2000 and assumed the spare was as well. I would have the tire inspected for any dry rot or structural issues.

While the experience was eventful, I will always try to rotate...same goes for my vehicles.

    Regards,

    Re: spare tire question (Tritontom)

I usually run my spare in rotation with the other 4 tires. By the time it wears down from being used, itd already dry roted on the holder. Might as well get use out of it. I only rely on my spare to limp home so thats my thought.
