    EZ Loader Trailer hubs?

I have an 07 EZ Loader trailer, dual axle, that has hubs with a silver disk marked 'Trailer Buddy Axle'. One of the disks is all the way out, one is all the way in, and the other two are kinda in the middle. The owners manual doe not show any pictures or describe this.
Is there some sort of zirk fitting under this disk to apply grease?
    Does it pop off?
    How do you add grease?
    How much?
    What kind?

    Morgan

Hopefully the images below will show up.

Re: EZ Loader Trailer hubs? (morgans)

yes sir, there are, is a greese "sirt" or whatever its called under the cap, a pocket knife or small flat head screw driver will remove the cap/
the "blue" that you see is the indicator of how much greese is in the hub. no blue not much greese, lot of blue,,, lot of greese,
as long as there is some blue showing ur hub has greese and u are ok.
to add, just pump greese into the sirt till the blue starts showing
note..... i would check the one that is all the way in, for seal leake on the inside of the wheel, especially if its been like that a while.

Re: EZ Loader Trailer hubs? (morgans)

What you see is the blue indicator piston with the stainless cover on it. The indicator sticking out tells you that the hub is pressurized. The indicator should be sticking out a minimum of 1/8 inch or more, at all times, you need to add grease to the ones that are not sticking out. Under the stainless cover, which you can pop off with a screw driver or knife, covers the grease zerk inside where you add grease when needed. If you happen to over fill the hub, grease will come out underneath the disc under the zerk , this is a pressure relief valve, if you happen to fill over 4 PSI. The cover keeps this extra grease from getting on your wheels. The owners manual has a cut-away picture on the front page.
    Take a look here...http://ufpnet.com/Portals/0/PDFs/Tra...aintenance.pdf..
Generally you'll only need to add a little grease once or twice a year, overfilling just makes a mess. Also, if the indicator goes down, be sure to inspect for leaks at the rear seal.

Re: EZ Loader Trailer hubs? (Lyn O. Dyer)

Well this answers question I posted on the other thread.

Advice to the original poster as i have this same hub. If you put too much in, it will push out and will make a mess. Chances are if you need to add grease, add it slowly and dont put too much.
