Bought two new Carlisle tires for my trailer. I removed the tires/rims from the trailer and was planning on taking them to get them mounted at a local tire shop. My question - do I just get the tires mounted, or do I ask them to spin balance them ??? Never delt with trailer tire mounting before; I would think it's important, but don't know if it's done on trailers or not. Don't want to sound stupid asking the shop to do it if it's not common practice.

It's not universally done, but worth doing in my opinion.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
Here's my take on it. You've got a big investment riding down the road on those tires. They are spinning just as fast as your truck tires, so that should answer your question right there. Out of balance trailer tires may lead to something major down the road.
The trailer company I purchased my Tow-Masters through said tha tthey need to be balanced.

Just remember that ANY tire on ANY trailer that will go on the road should be balanced.
