    Trailer lights jacked up...

Put the boat trailer in the water with the lights on and it fried the bulbs. One of the lights was old so I bought a new one and wired it the same as the old one. Now when I hit the brakes the light goes off and when I use the turn signal it blinks just opposite of the truck lights. WTF? Sorry to be stupid but the only other thing I did was replace a bulb in the other light fixture. HELP!!

Sounds like a ground issue at the light. Pigtail needs to connect to clean metal on the trailer frame.
