I am interested in the Ultimate Bunk Boards. Has anybody tried these yet? I would like to have some input from some of you "regular Joe's" with heavy fiberglass boats.

John,
I don't mean to sound like I don't trust you and your company, I just don't want to be the first guy on BBC to try them, plus right now my water is ice. I am hoping that somebody that still has liquid water will give them a try and love them. They seem to be just what I am looking for. (slippery when wet and long lived)
Is there any limitations on boat weight. I know some of the pads that can be purchased via BPS and Cabelas have weight limitations.
Thanks,
John

No, no, no...I didn't take it like you didn't trust me...believe me...if I were going to try a product for the 1st time...I'd want to talk with someone using it also....not a problem.
Weight becomes an issue at some point ... as with any bunks. Our 2x6's can handle quite a bit of weight tho...and depending on the span of supports you should be just fine. I will tell you, over time in some scenarios...our boards will "conform" to the shape of the hull of the boat somewhat...they did on mine a little. But it actually makes for a better "load"...the boat kinda "nesles" itself onto the trailer.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance...and now I'll shut up and let (hopefully) some of our customers speak up. If you'd like you can email me your email address at jcr2@bellsouth.net and I'll give you some contacts (past customers) you can talk to about our product.

I just installed a set of Ultimatebunks on my 2000 Tracker 175!![]()
Really clean looking compared to old cartpeted boards. I bought
2 each 2 by 4 by 8ft long and 2 each 2 by 4 by 3ft long for guide
rail on side. Total cost was $100! I bought some stainless screws and
washers as the original hardware was too long.
I tapered and filed the ends so nothing will scratch boat
and should load really easy! You can't do that very easily with carpet!
Gonna try to get to lake this weekend and check loading and unloading!
I'll get some pictures and post as soon as can!
So far I'm really impressed with this new product!![]()
Looking forward to your review of them.

John,
I saw your posts on Bass Boat Central (BBC) and still wonder about their strength on larger bass boats. I have a Ranger 522 (22' long) and it is heavy.
What about the black color during the summer heat? Would the gray color bend less due to the summer sun, I live in Texas.

Going way back in the threads![]()
I am thinking about re-bunking my trailer next year. I will more than likely use the ultimates.
Any updates on the Ultimate Bunks?
curious how they would work on my aluminum hull
